This is an innovation lab where your engineering ideas come true. Whether you have an idea to pursue, or want to gain hands-on experience using engineering technology, our coaching will inspire you through practical perspectives and critical thinking. You will learn to transfer the ideas to tangible deliverables using engineering design process and the latest technology.

TINKER TIME

How it works

Students pick a project from the exclusively-designed project list to work on. Each project entails a set of technical skills. The more projects the students do, the better they will be at hands-on skills. Engineering gurus will assist with putting the projects together! Some projects can be done in one session, and some might need more time.

What projects are available

Students can choose from a variety of projects including making robots, 3D printing, designing/assembling vehicles, making instruments, and featured projects upon availability. In case a student prefers to go deeper into a project or would like to deviate from the project list, one-on-one coaching is available upon request.

Project Categories

Robots

Explore the basic components of a robot. Different robots requrie different mechanisms to work. Make them all!
3D Printing

Learn to put your ideas into 3D drawing and print it out! Depending on your experience, we can recommend you project ideas.
Vehicles

Whether you like putting a model car together to see it run, or designing the apperance of a vehicle, there will be a project for you.
Instruments

Explore the engineering in music by putting your instruments together. You can build your own ukulele or music box.

Personal Passion Projects

Students who are interested in recurring private science or engineering coaching, including science fair support, will be a great fit. During the sessions, the engineering design process is practiced, with a real-world view of how the industry develop their products. The projects can be composed of a long-term project or multiple short-term projects.
